The medium answer? Yes, of course it is. Your body is your body whatever the season. Embrace it and enjoy the Summer time freely. You are what you are and that is fabulous darling!
What? You want to know the long answer? Really? You possibly already know this. It's likely to be different for you, me and the next person. Or is it?
Oh sh*t I'm going to have to show my arms and legs
Oh sh*t, my new year resolution ended on 5th January and I've still not slimmed back into those jeans let alone the shorts
Oh sh*t, that wedding I've known about for 18 months is actually in July and I don't know what I'll wear
Oh sh*t, my healthy eating regime is diet on Monday, fall off the proverbial wagon by Tuesday lunch time
Oh sh*t I can't afford a whole new holiday wardrobe
Oh sh*t where do I start?
I could go on and on and on. Does any of this sound familiar? Maybe you have your own to add. I do it every year. I hibernate through the cooler months, of which there are 11 if you live here in the UK, enjoying comfort food, cosy nights in with snacks, a cheeky gin at the weekend, okay two maybe. Treat takeaways on Friday because we worked so hard all week and we deserve the night off from cooking. And anyway it's aaages away til we have to show our bodies again.
Then 'poof' it's May. I've a wedding in two months, a holiday in three and a mum tum even though my youngest is now 16. Actually it's meno tum these days. Whatever the excuse there's a tum and I don't mean a neat little normal belly, I mean a growing dough-like squidgy mass I have to tuck in when I get dressed. But at least I am getting dressed!
So what can we do? Mope around wishing we'd leapt into action sooner? Joke about being trickier to kidnap? Pretend we're okay with it? I'm not doing any of those things. I'm doing something different this year. I'm accepting it whilst I make some realistic lifestyle changes. As a human being, and you might be able to relate here, I do need external support much as I think I can be self accountable. Humans need interaction, even the most introvert. That's why I'm teaming up with Nutritionist and Health guru, Pam Clark, from The Emporium of Health and bringing along my own skillset of solution-focused mindset and body confidence coaching with my clever styling tips so that together we can help you conquer all of the above and whatever else is making you think 'Oh Sh*t, it's nearly Summer'.
We've designed a four week programme to do from the comfort of your phone. Daily support, advice and top tips straight to your mobile device, you don't need social media, you don't need any special equipment, gym kit, or otherwise, just an open mind and the desire to make small changes with our help.
Introverts can lurk, extroverts can post as much as they like in our private virtual space. We go live weekly to answer your questions and share our expertise. I actually can't wait. I am so ready for this! We're right in there getting involved too.
Who's in? If you fancy joining us we start on the 5th June 2023 - 4 weeks - then maybe the sun will make an appearance during the programme, who knows? You can join here and if you do so before 25th May 2023 you can take advantage of our early bird offer which saves you a whopping £50. You could save that to buy your new bikini................ if you want.
